Welcome Back

Jul. 09, 2021

The Library is Open, No Masks Required.

The Canmore Public Library is officially open to the public, and with the lifting of the municipal masking bylaw, masks are no longer required to enter the Library. We do however remain a mask friendly environment and support our patrons in however they feel most comfortable visiting us.

The public can now access the stacks to browse the Library fully, spend 30 minutes on a public computer station, and make use of our limited seating areas for studying, reading, working, or even just hanging out to keep cool. We love seeing our wonderful patrons back in the library space!

For those who are not comfortable coming into the Library just yet, we will continue to offer curbside services by request only. Starting July 12th, if you have materials to check out please phone us at 403-678-2468 and we can arrange a curbside pickup appointment with you. There will no longer be a form on the website to book these appointments.

There are a few other changes coming July 12th that we are very excited about:

Starting this day, our in-library sale shelf will be back for those looking to purchase gently used books at a great price.

Library Volunteers will also be returning to the Library starting July 12th - if volunteering at the library interests you, you can fill out this form.

Lastly, we will once again be accepting book donations from the public starting July 12th. If you have a large donation to drop off, please call ahead so we can organize accepting your donation. Materials should be in good/gently used condition. While we appreciate all donations, we don’t accept old encyclopedia sets, out of date reference books, magazines, or VHS tapes.

Welcome back to the Canmore Public Library, we've missed you!
