How do I access my account online?

Visit the library catalogue at and login using the barcode number from your library card and your PIN. 

How do I renew my library items?

Items may be renewed up to two times, as long as there are no holds on the items. Items may be renewed in person, by phone, or online.

How do I search for library items online?

You can search for books, DVDs, audiobooks, video games, and more using the online library catalogue, called TRACpac.  

How do I place a hold?

Holds may be placed in person, by phone, or online.

How do I access eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, and other digital content?

I forgot my PIN/PASSWORD, what do I do?

Your PIN/Password is the last 4 digits of your phone number, unless you have changed it. If you are unsure of your PIN/Password, click the I forgot my password link in TRACpac, or give us a call.

How do I get a book that is not in the TRAC catalogue?

If the library material you want to borrow isn't available through the library's online catalogue, you can request material to be brought in from outside of the TRAC system.

Search for and place holds on materials from any participating Alberta public or academic library with the Relais D2D Inter-Library Loan service. 

Log in with your Canmore Public Library barcode number and PIN to place a request. You can have up to 10 active requests at one time.

We are not able to borrow electronic resources or items from out of province.

Where do I return my items?

During regular opening hours, you are welcome to place your items in the returns bin located at the front of the library. For after hours returns, please use the book drop located on the ramp to the main entrance of Elevation Place.

What happens if I return library items past the due date?

Overdue fines are charged at 10¢ per item per day, up to a maximun of $10.00. Once an account has reached $10.00 in fines you will lose access to your account until your fines are paid. 

What do I do if lose or damage a library book?

Please contact us right away to prevent any unnecessary charges being applied to your account. If you damage a book, please do not attempt to fix it yourself. If it is fixable, our specially trained staff will take care of it.  Items that are beyond repair may be charged to the borrower's account. 

Why can't I renew my book online that still has renewals left?

If you are unable to renew a book online that still has renewals remaining, it is most likely because that book is on hold for another patron. Books that fill a hold for someone else cannot be renewed. It is also possible that your library card has expired and that is preventing you from renewing your book. If your account has expired, visit us in the library or give us a call to renew your membership.
