Library Studio Presents - Wonders of the Night Sky
It's star gazing season! With longer hours of darkness and generally clearer skies, star parties are happening all across Alberta this time of year.
The Canmore Public Library is thrilled to welcome Doug Saul for our very own star party on Friday, October 13th!
Wonders of the Night Sky is perfect for families, beginners, enthusiasts and anyone mildly curious! (Recommended for ages 12+ due to the technical information and hands-on activities)
With an engaging presentation, we'll learn about the wonders above us in the night sky and how to locate and identify a few of the Solar System and the Milky Way's phenomena that are our cosmic sisters and brothers.
After the presentation in the library, join Doug under the stars (weather permitting) for an optional 30-minute tour of the Milky Way as visible from Canmore.
The Library Studio Presents: Wonders of the Night Sky, will take place on Friday, October 13th from 7:00 - 8:00pm in the Friends Program Room.
