Join us Friday January 14th for a storytime all about winter and the snow! For our craft this week we'll be creating simple winter tree art that lets your little one have fun with finger painting! All you need is a piece of blue paper / construction paper (any color will do if you don't have blue!), a black marker, white paint, and a Q-tip or the end of a paintbrush for adding snow dots. See you Friday!

Wear your jammies, bring your teddy bear, and get cozy for a storytime all about bedtime and sleep on January 28th!

Looking to keep the theme going? Try one of these teddy bear crafts with your little ones:

Join us February 4th for a storytime all about emotions! Happy, silly, grumpy, mad - we'll cover them all!

  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Markers
  • Straws / Popsicle sticks etc.
  • Something circular for tracing

The theme for our Preschoolers Storytime today is Crocodiles and Monkeys! We'll be making a paper crocodile puppet for our craft - a great prop for today's songs and rhymes!

You can view the inspiration / video tutorial of today's craft here.

Today at storytime it's all about penguins and polar bears!

For our craft, we'll be going over how to make penguins and polar bears out of tracings of your little ones hands! This hand print art could also be adapted with finger paints if you don't have construction paper at home.  Inspiration for today's crafts can be found here and here!

Whoo, whoo! Today at storytime we're reading books all about owls!

For our craft, I'll be going over how to make a fun and cute snowy owl art project with paint and construction paper.

You'll need:

  • Construction Paper (black, yellow, and brown)
  • White paint
  • A piece of plastic wrap for stamping the paint
  • Scissors
  • Marker
  • Glue

See the inspiration for today's craft here.

Today at storytime we will be featuring some of the amazing NEW picture books that have come into the Canmore Public Library lately! What is your current favorite book? Bring it to storytime and share with us!

For our craft today, we'll be going over a simple DIY bookmark craft! The inspiration for today's craft can be found here.

All you need is some card stock or cardboard, glue, scissors, and some bits of ribbon, paper, etc to decorate with. A hole punch can be used to add a ribbon to the top of your bookmark if you have one!

See you at 10:30am!

Our theme for our storytime today is St. Patrick's Day! This fun holiday is coming up next week - get excited about it with your little one at today's storytime filled with books on leprechauns, rainbows, luck, magic and more! This will be our LAST storytime of the winter 2022 session!
