We're back! Join Miss Rhonda and Miss Lyndsey for a fun filled storytime all about polar bears and penguins! On top of songs, rhymes, and books we will also be going over a quick craft! For today's craft we will be making potato print polar bears and penguins! All you will need is some white, black, orange, and any other color paints you'd like, a potato or two cut in half, and some construction paper! See the inspiration for today's craft linked below.

This week we are reading books, singing songs and sharing rhymes about our feelings and emotions! Happy, sad, silly, mad and everything in between! For our craft this week we will be making some paper plate faces that show our different emotions (and they can be used during our songs and rhymes this week). If you have some paper plates and markers around your home, bring those with you to storytime this week (paper and markers will work just fine as well). See the link below for craft inspiration!

This week's storytime is all about eggs! We will have lots of fun and silly books all about eggs and the things that hatch out of them. Our craft this week will be making our own DIY 'egg' shakers with common items found around the home to use during storytime.

Bawk Bawk! Today at storytime we are reading books all about chickens! For our craft this week we will be making cute little chicks hatching from their eggs. I've also linked to a great site with free printables to make your own chicken puppet!

Free chicken craft printable linked here.

Hop on over to storytime and join us while we read books, sing songs and share rhymes all about bunnies! We have an adorable hand print craft planned that requires only a piece of paper, pencil, scissors, and markers for decorating. Grab your supplies and we'll see you at 10:30am!

This week at storytime we're going to be reading books all about things that go! Books about trains, cars, airplanes, buses, and trucks will often have a lot of words like "zoom zoom", "beep beep", and "choo choo". These types of words help children learn the different sounds that make up words and are an important part of early literacy and developing pre-reading skills!  Our craft today will be super simple but one your child can have fun with all day - paper airplanes! Bring some paper along with markers or stickers if you'd like to decorate your plane and we'll see you there!

Today at storytime we're playing favorites! We'll be reading books, singing songs, and sharing rhymes that are some of our personal favorites for little ones. We would love to see some of YOUR favorites too! Bring your favorite book, toy, stuffy, blanket, anything at all that is special and a favorite of yours to share with us at a show and tell!

This week at storytime we're reading books all about animals that are awake at night! I've found a super simple craft / activity for you do to at home to keep the nocturnal animal fun going! Check out the link below for a free printout of nocturnal animals silhouettes. All you do is print and cut them out, tape them to your flashlight, and cast shadows on your wall of the different night time animals! Can you come up with fun stories this evening with your flashlight?!

Nocturnal Animal Silhouettes printout can be found here.

Don't have a printer? No problem! You could complete this craft with a piece of dark construction paper as well. Just draw your shapes and cut them out!

This week's storytime is all about our favorite farm animals! We've got lots of great books, songs and rhymes lined up and we will be going over lots of fun farm animal hand print crafts you can make! See this link for our craft inspiration. See you at 10:30am!

Today at storytime we are reading stories, sharing rhymes and singing songs all about friendship, kindness and love! We'll spend some time going over what it means to be a good friend and creating a friendship flower together! If you would like to make your own at home, all you need is construction paper (or any paper will do), scissors, glue and some markers!

Splish, splash, it's time for a bath! Today at storytime we are reading books, singing songs and sharing rhymes all about bath time!  If you would like to keep the bath time fun going, here is a fun bath tub finger paint printable. Print this out, and then have your child fill the tub with bubbles using blue finger paint!

For the last storytime of our Winter session we are reading books, singing songs, and sharing rhymes all about superheroes! For our craft today we'll be going over how to make these SUPER-fun superhero cuffs! All you need is some toilet paper tubes, construction paper, scissors and some glue! See you at 10:30am!
