Children in grades 3 to 5 are invited to an hour long reader’s theatre program to practice their reading and oral storytelling skills. Each session will start with drama games to warm up, and end with performing short scripts. There is no pressure to act – just come have fun reading stories aloud!

Now Hiring - Part Time Library Clerk

The Canmore Public Library is now accepting applications for the position of Library Clerk.
 
We are seeking applicants for a part-time position. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekend shifts and some evenings.  
 
Applicants should be a high school graduate and be comfortable dealing with the public and working with computers.  Previous experience working in a public library setting would be an asset.  
 
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume by 4pm, Friday, November 10th, 2017

Skew Lines Poetry Workshop

An interactive guided workshop which will lead participants in creating their own poetry/short prose pieces, using prompts and exercises. We will explore form in traditional and non-traditional poems, and look to poetry collections, literary magazines and anthologies for examples and inspiration.
