Half Day Friday
Half day Friday is a free program designed for children aged 8-12 and runs from 1:00-3:00 on *most* half day / PD day Fridays. There are two library staff scheduled to run this program.
Half Day Friday is different each session, but typically consists of a combination of themed crafts and activities, movies on the big screen, games, and even video games from time to time. You can always find information on what the upcoming Half Day Friday is going to look like on our website as well as on posters in the library (front door and children’s bulletin board).
Half Day Friday is a drop-in program, unless otherwise specified. Children aged 8 and over are permitted to be in the library on their own, so parents are not required to attend but are always welcome.
Sign-in is required for each participant along with an emergency contact and their phone number (Typically, mom or dad).
Certain crafts and activities may have limited supplies, and since this is a drop-in program, limited supplies will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
The main goal for this program is to give children a fun, safe, creative space to be on those days that school ends early.
Donations graciously accepted.
