Bow Valley Literacy Group

The Bow Valley Literacy Program is hosted by the Bow Valley Learning Council and the Canmore Public Library. It is funded by the Alberta Innovation and Advanced Education.

Mission Statement

The Bow Valley Literacy Program will encourage and support adult learners as they work to achieve their goals in reading, writing and communicating effectively in English.

The Bow Valley Literacy Program (BVLP) supports adult learners (18+). Some learners are English speakers who need help with reading and writing. Other learners are English Language Learners who want to improve English communication in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. The BVLP places learners with tutors or in small groups and works with learners to set and work on learning goals. Learning goals are different for each person, so the BVLP supports each learner with his/her own learning plan.

We also offer different classes to help you with your learning goals. Please visit www.bowvalleylearning.ca/classes or click on English Language Learning Classes for more information.
